VS
Compare and Contrast of Thirsty and The Book that I Read Before
I will compare "Thirsty" Book with my last book "The Orange Houses" by Paul Griffin. Both of the books look the sam as the characteritics of the characters but in Thirsty there is more imagination from the author because there are vampires, ,in real life there is no vampires. In The Orange Houses book there are more realistic characters and events. In Thirsty there are some extraordinary events like lynching vampires. I think Thirsty is newer book because it says "We go to McDonald's. I order a double hamburger, six-piece McNugget, and a medium fries." (Page 8, Line 12) We can understand that this story is in the times that McDonald's is popular. The Orange Houses can be in modern times too but the characters are poor so they can't go to McDonald's or in the place that is popular in those years. Maybe there are some modern restaurants but it is can not be written in the book. In The Orange Houses main theme is about illegal immigration and friendship but in Thirsrty it seems it will be only about vampires or it can be about friendship too because in the story Chris have some friends but they are distant friends. Maybe after some events in the story they start to have a little war with vampires and they can start to become close friends again. In The Orange Houses the book is generally about a girl whose name is Tamika Sykes. She uses hearing aids to hear people because she is hard of hearing. In Thirsy main character is Chris. Chris looks a bit interesting for me because after a while in the story he starts to act like a vampire because he says "For a few months now, I have been feeling hungrier and hungrier. Food does not seem to fill me up."(Page 13, Line 4) He is describing the vampires with ssaying that they are always hungry. He became hungrier also. So, he can start to become a vampire. If he becomes a vampire, the story becomes interesting for the reader. If there would be vampires in The Orange Houses book, the book would become very bad because The Orange Houses book is normally hard if we add vampires into it, it would become ultra hard. These two books are generally different because one of them is about extraordinary things and the other one is about social life of an American girl. These two books have a lot of scenes about friends. We can understand from these words "Tom and Jerk are my two best friends I guess. When we were younger, we used to spend the afternoons running around in the woods together and we stayed over at one another's house and all." From these words we can understand that he had best friends. In The Orange Houses the main character has a lot of friends too. These were the things that are similar and different. These two books are very good If I was you I would read them.

My Favorite Scene
I read twenty-two pages and book is very exciting. When I first read the book, the book was very scary and exciting for me. My favorite scene is when they are going to lynching, not while they are lynching because their behaviors are very funny. They go to McDonald's and Chris ordered double hamburger,six-piece McNuggets and medium fries. When they are waiting for the lynching only Chris has a McDonald's bag. I think it seems funny because they are going to do a serious job but a McDonald's bag is distrupting this. When they start to wait people start to chat about lynching. We can understand he tomfools because he says "People stare at me as I dip my McNuggets into the barbecue sauce."(Page:9 Line:24)It is funny. He was trying to not tomfool because he was eating too fast we can understand from these words "The pieces keep sticking in my throat. I want to finish them as quicklas possible."(Page:9 Line:25) I think he is trying to be serious about this job. Then the police start to come with their sirens. When police come everyone start to stare at them. There are a lot of people. The crowd start to move forward to see lynching more. The door opens. Some people are holding pistols to the vampire. The vampire is a young woman. They think she is a vampire but I don't think she is a vampire. People start to scream foul names at her, calling her murderer or witch. They are saying very bad words to her. I think they do not need to say bad words like that because it is not young woman's fault to be a vampire. This is my favorite scene because it is the funniest and the scene that has the most action. Both of these features unite with each other and make an ultra good scene.
This is an example for lynching.

Summary about what happened so far in my book:
In my book there is a boy named Cristopher. At the beginning Cristopher is giving information about his life with first person review. He is introducting his best friends. He is giving information about The Sad Festivals of Vampires. He is saying that the place that he is living is very dangerous because there are vampires everywhere in the city. He says that his mother is always warning him to come to home early because of the vampires. When giving information part finishes. New chapter starts and Cristopher's main story starts in an English lesson. He gives information about his crush Rebecca Schwartz. I saw an interesting fact about Cristopher. When his brother Paul comes he started to don't look at him. His friend start to say that his brother has come and he says Cristopher should talk with him. While his friend was saying these he was trying to make him to be quiet. When his brother come and stares at Cristopher, Cristopher didn't want to go but his brother did something and Cristopher came. They start to talk and when their conversation finishes. Cristopher goes to a place, while he was going he saw a vampire's lyching. He shocked and surprised when he saw this. These were the things that I had read. The story starts to become interesting and scary.

My name is Mustafa. I am reading the book named "Thirsty" for my Reading lesson.
Thirsty (1997) is a horror novel written by M. T. Anderson. It is set in modern Clayton, Massachusetts, in a parallel universe where vampires and other such creatures exist. The main character, Christopher, just wants a normal life; to date his crush Rebecca Schwartz, stay up late, and other teenager things. Unfortunately, Chris has much more to worry about than puberty — he also has to deal with his vampirism.
